Unexpected Reflection

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
— Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV

I love these verses. They come straight after Paul talks about how wide and long and high and deep the love of Christ is. He talks about being rooted and established in faith. He talks about having the strength to comprehend with the saints how big God's love is. Then Paul finishes with "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine..." 

He is ABLE, my friends! He is able to go much further than our own imaginations! Grasp that for a second.... I can't quite grasp how big and amazing that is! When we look at our problems and come up with a million ways it can be handled, God's still got more solutions up His sleeve! When we exhaust our imagination on any number of situations, He's still got ideas, solutions, abilities that reach even farther than what we can think! He's able! 

He's able to call us on new adventures. He's able to raise the dead. He's able to come up with solutions we weren't even thinking of. He's able to calm the storms in the sky as well as the ones in our hearts and minds. He's able to do something worthy of our gratitude. He's able to show us love that is so big, we can't even grasp it all! He's able to not only pay the price for our sin, but to pardon us from the punishment! He's able to raise the standards on how to love our enemies. He's able to enlarge the list of possibilities of what He's able and willing to take on! He's able to interrupt and change the course of our lives. He's able to bring the Church together in unity. He's able. Can you believe it?
